In the surroundings of Dwingeloo we have set out several hikes. We have two variants of a daghike and two variants of a two-day hike. We try to track and check the hikes every year. If something nevertheless does not work (anymore), let us know!

Dayhike variant A: Ditstance 10 kilometer

The route of dayhike A is the same as of dayhike B, but the techniques are simpler.

Dayhike variant A: Afstand 10 kilometer

The route of dayhike B is the same as of dayhike A, but the techniques are a litlle more difficult.g>

Twoday hike Holtien: Distance: day 1: 13 kilometer, day 2: 11 kilometer

Some parts of the route are the same as the dayhikes. You can use (only with permission!) a small campsite near a small lake & canal near Dwingeloo. 

 

Twoday hike Galgenberg: Distance day 1: 15 kilometer, day 2: 13 kilometer

Some parts of the route are the same as the dayhikes. You can use (only with permission!) a small campsite near a small canal near Ruinen & Anholt. 

FYI

• For the hikes you need the topographical maps 17A and 17C. You can download this from the PDOK.nl website or take a look at scoutingtools.nl.
• Would you like to receive the hikes for your camp to adapt it yourself? Let us know which hike you want to receive, we will gladly send you them.
• For the two-day hikes we have two small campsites available. These can be used per night by using a maximum of one group. If you come in a busy week and you want to use one of our two-day hikes, do not wait too long to reserve one of the hike-campsites.

Use of hike-campsites

We can offer hikers a place to stay overnight. We have (thanks to some private individuals) two hike campsites available: Holtien and Galgenberg. For the use of one of the hike campsites a deposit must be paid to the campstaff of € 15.00. This is paid back after checking the hike campsite. The following rules apply:

• The group takes care of (drinking) water. Note: Water from streams and canals in the Netherlands is not drinkable!
• The group itself provides a chemical toilet (can be borrowed from the campstaff). Emptying takes place at the Labelterrein Dwingeloo
• Inform yourself exactly where you can stay overnight,
• Fires can't be made on Holtien,
